Tango, Vals, and
Milonga form the rhythmic heart of Argentine tango. In this
special 8-week series, we’ll dive into the enchanting world of
Vals (tango waltz), sharing elegant steps and flowing sequences
that beautifully complement its lilting rhythm. These Vals
movements will not only enrich your tango vocabulary but also

Tango Vocabulary and Linking Steps (Int. Level) In this this class series, we will focus on building a strong foundation in tango vocabulary. Each week Tony and Ilana will introduce a basic understanding of different tango vocabulary and show you how to link them to form a dance and have fun on the social dance floor. Vocabulary include: Boleo, Sacada, Parada, Monlinette, and Arreste. Dance Underground- 340 15th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112 -No partner is required. We will rotate partners for this class. Each week, we will dive into a different aspect of the giro, from foundational molinetes to dynamic variations and adornments. You will refine your axis, strengthen your core mechanics, and develop the ability to move with precision and fluidity around your partner.
