Seattle Tango Classes

Tony and Ilana  have been dancing tango together for more than 27 years. The beauty of their movement comes from their maturity in the dance, strong connection and deep respect for the music.

Tango Turns & Linking Steps (Beg. Level 2)

Tango turn is the 'nuts n bolts of the tango structure. Once we understand the structure, we will concentrate on how to use the turns to link the dance.
Topics include navigation, ocho cortado, pivot ochos, sweet rhythmic turn steps, and more! This class will prepare you with all the skills you need to become a confident dancer on the social dance floor!!!

Absolute Beginner's Tango Class (Beg. Level 1)

Learn to dance the authentic Argentine tango in a fun and easy way!

No partners required. No dance experience necessary.

This is the class for you, if you:

  • Are an absolute beginner excited to learn the Argentine tango.

  • Have taken tango classes before but like to review the materials.

  • Have two left feet & have never danced before,

  • Or just want to have fun and meet people!

Milonga & Milonga con Traspie (Int./ Adv. Level)

By popular demand- one of our most popular classes! Each time we offer the milonga class, there are new and exciting steps added to the class material.
Milonga is the mother of tango. Milonga is more cheerful compared to tango music. In this series, Tony and Ilana will introduce many fun milonga steps and explain how to combine them for different possibilities and variations. Tony and Ilana will also show you how to move to the different rhythms of the Milonga and how to effectively use these rhythms to highlight the different step combinations.
The goal of this series is to enable you to improvise a fun and rhythmic dance on the social dance floor. A lot of these steps and rhythm changes can also be incorporated into your tango. Your social tango will benefit tremendously from this Milonga class!
