Tango Vocabulary & Linking Steps (Beg. 2 Level) In this this class series, we will concentrate on understanding the different tango vocabulary. Each week Tony and Ilana will introduce a basic understanding of different tango vocabulary and show you how to link them to form a dance and have fun on the social dance floor. Vocabulary include: Boleo, Sacada, Parada, Gancho, and Barrida. PNA Phinney Center- 6532 Phinney Ave. N, Seattle, WA 98103 Upper Parking lot/ Room #5 in the blue building -No partner is required. Tango: Making Normal Cool (Int./ Adv. Level)
This series looks at how ordinary movement can be broken down
and rebuilt in new ways to reveal more depth and possibility. We
start with steps that feel normal and predictable, then breathe
new life into them by uncovering practical options, control, and

Absolute Beginner's Tango Class (Beg. Level) Learn to dance the authentic Argentine tango in a fun and easy way! No partners required. No dance experience necessary. This is the class for you, if you: - Are an absolute beginner excited to learn the Argentine tango. - Have taken tango classes before but like to review the materials. - Have two left feet & have never danced before, - Or just want to have fun and meet people! Tango: Parada and Barrida Sequences (Int./ Adv. Level) Parada is “stop” in Spanish. Most often the leader stops the follows either on cross steps or open steps. There are many foot games one can play and allow a vast array of embellishments. Barrida means sweep or a sweeping motion. Most often it is done by one partner's foot sweeping and placing it without losing contact. It too can start and finish from cross steps or open steps. Together, Parada and barrida bring out a lot of possibilities to your dancing. They are fun, easy and very cool to do on the dance floor.
