Tango Turns & Linking Steps (Int. Level) Tango turn is the 'nuts n bolts of the tango structure. Once we understand the structure, we will concentrate on how to use the turns to link the dance. Topics include navigation, ocho cortado, pivot ochos, sweet rhythmic turn steps, and more! This class will prepare you with all the skills you need to become a confident dancer on the social dance floor!!! Nuevo Tango Tookit (Int./ Adv. Level)
Building on our musicality series, this class explores how nuevo
tango vocabulary can bring modern and alternative tango music to
life. We will sample four exciting signature movements, soltadas,
colgadas, volcadas, and enganches, and discover how each can be
used to interpret different musical textures, rhythms, and
dynamics. Expand your dance vocabulary while developing greater

classes! Each time we offer the milonga class, there are new
and exciting steps added to the class material.
Milonga is the mother of tango. Milonga is more cheerful compared to tango music. In this series, Tony and Ilana will introduce many fun milonga steps and explain how to combine them for different possibilities and variations. Tony and Ilana will also show you how to move to the different rhythms of the Milonga and how to effectively use these rhythms to highlight the different step combinations. The goal of this series is to enable you to improvise a fun and rhythmic dance on the social dance floor. A lot of these steps and rhythm changes can also be incorporated into your tango.
